DAILY LIFE 010. Any female character from the age of 0 to 3 is considered a juvenile, or a filly; at the age of 4 they are officially declared adults, or mares. 011. Breeding age begins at 3, with retiring age set at 20. We ask that mares have no more than 4 foals within their lifetime, with none born consecutively – that is, if she foals one year, successful or not, she cannot breed again that same year and give birth the following spring.
RELATIONS 012. Females without a herd are considered unclaimed and free game to any stallion who comes by. Think of it as having no car insurance – passcode part one: bubble – if something happens, you are left to deal with the consequences on your own. 013. If a female needs a home, they are advised to drop by either Darach Wood, or the Fuamnach; the former guarantees freedom of choice between suitors with no force-claiming or breeding; the second is the total opposite. 014. A foal cannot be removed from its mother’s side before its first birthday. If the mare is stolen, her child goes with her, and vice-versa. 015. Mares and foals beneath one year of age may be played together, and count as only one character. Past the one-year mark, they will be seen as separate characters and will add to the player’s character count.
HERD LAW 016. If a herd-leading stallion dies without sons but has daughters, then the eldest daughter may be allowed to succeed the herd. Please note that this doesn’t happen often. 017. If a herd-leading stallion dies but has children too young to succeed him, but has a leading mare, then the mare may be allowed to succeed the herd until the heir is of age.
