Personality:
Relapse is your typical stallion. Hot-blooded, energetic, stubborn, and flirtatious. He spends most of his time on his own, yet that doesn't mean he's anti-social. He is a very open, welcoming stallion on the outside. He adores mare and wishes to own every single one he meets. Even if she is already claimed. He is stubborn and strong willed. He will not back down from anything without a fight. He has a sarcastic demeanor and enjoys pushing the limits of others. He also loves getting under their skin. He believes it's a form of entertainment. He rarely cares for anyone but himself. He will show the slightest bit of compassion, if they prove worthy enough of it. But this is the slightest and hardly can be considered compassion at all. He uses his brutish attitude to test others to see if they are worthy to be companions to him. Though on the inside, Relapse really isn't all there. He appears as a normal stallion, but somewhere in his mind, there is something off.
He has periods called "trances" where he will lose touch with his surroundings. He wil turn on anyone near him and act malicious and brutish toward them. Seemingly withno care for their welare. He has gone so far as to do great harmand injure another within these trances, only to snap out of it a couple minutes later with no rememberance of what he did. It has been described as him having a completely different being living inside of him. There is no name for this being, aside from it's characterization of being the complete opposite of Relapse himself. This being makes the stallion seem innocent in comparison. Relapse cannot control his trances or what he does during them. Not all end with injuring another. It can range from malicious verbal abuse, to blinding anger. There is no say what triggers them, they just happen. It's unpredictable and dangerous. This is why Relapse tends to keep a distance from other horses around him.
History:
Relapse was born and raised on a wealthy English stable. He was the product of a Jumper mare and a former Dressage stallion that went rogue and escaped when he was barey a week old. He grew up and trained to be a Jumper and had been entered in a few shows when he was three. He was successful but he had his sire's temper. He soon became too hard to handle and was retired early. A month after his sire came back for him and his dam. He broke them out and took them to live with the herd he had created. He took Relapse under his wing and taught him all bout leading a herd. He lived with the herd for another year. On night his herd was attacked by rogues. A fight broke out and many were injured since the rogue herd was larger than his birth herd. His sire ended up dying from the injuries he suffered and the leader of the rogues stole Relapse from his herd.
His dam was left alone to mourn over the loss of her mate and part of their herd. Relapse was taken into a more mountainous area and was raised by the leader, taken in as an adoptive foal for the one he lost. The rogue leader convinced Relapse that his parents didn't want him and they had no intentions of having him take over the herd since he wasnt good enough. His dam had been in foal to a younger sibling at the time and he was told that they would take over. Overtime Relapse came to respect the rogue leader and was taught the harsh ways of the herd. He never once thought about his birth herd, though he had passing memories that tore at him in his sleep. Though he never mentioned them to the others. Soon he left that herd to start his own with the unstable mind of his father and the raw aggression embedded in him from the rogues. He wanders alone now to this day.
